Rememory – Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Rememory, from what I understand is when you remember a memory you forgot you had.

I really don’t have much to say about this idea(embarrassingly enough)- it’s really more about this song. The collaborative album, Surf, by Donnie Trumpet and the social experiment came out in 2015. I really connected to that album at the time.

2015 was like the ending of a movie to me. I had reached the end of a race and I had all the riches I wanted at the time. Not too much later, I lost myself and I went lower than low. Looking back at that time, I’m glad it happened since I gained so much more than I thought I had.

Any way, this post isnt really about my thoughts, but more about the pairing of the song and the photograph. Once again, this is from my trip to Valley Cruises. I used my telephoto lens (55-210mm) to make this zoomed in photo of the sunset and some brush and a tree. I am honestly, just trying to post what I have already and not hoard it in my memory card. I have been thinking about my path in photography and I think I want to stick to landscapes. I like doing it, but I also want to try to get more into portraits and to abstract photography. Maybe some stuff with heavy post processing. We’ll see if I can find more inspiration out west.
