“Close the door…not all the way”
This song has something sinister and peaceful about it all at once. The slow western melody makes me think of rebirth. Or as if you are peering through a crack to see the whole truth.
Going to a place where nobody knows you is challenging. The familiarity you had in your space, your area is gone and the unfamiliar becomes familiar over time. You can be a different person and no one would know if you changed your behavior at all. That’s not to say you couldn’t have done that before. Interestingly, you could have done that at anytime before you were just scared or limiting yourself. Being in a new place just gives you inward perspective and you then realize or decide that you can be whoever you want to be.
This photograph was made in South Mountain State Park, NC. I used my telephoto lens to try and find some kind of framing for the waterfall found near the top of the High Shoals Falls trail. Haven’t had enough time to photograph lately. Other life things have gotten in the way
