Layers of rock show the geological history of an area. Each layer was deposited one after another. That is called the law of superposition. After geological events occur the rock layers are exposed by forces that erode the rock. In the case of a canyon like Palo Duro Texas State Park, running water carved out the canyon walls.
I carry all my memories, all my suffering, all my pleasures . I stack them up and they make me who I am. No matter where I go those layers are in me. Even if you don’t like exposing some of those layer, they still make you who you are and they have built you up. Every layer deposited on top shows your growth and your choices are like the erosion that carve you into the person you are.
I check out Palo duro park last week. It’s amazing! I used my telephoto lens to take both pics. I met a unicyclist riding up and down the canyon. He said he did it often and knew what he was doing. What a cool dude!
